Addiction & Recovery Conversations with Brett Lovins
Real stories. Honest conversations. No judgment. This podcast dives into the raw, personal journeys of people navigating substance use, recovery, and everything in between. Whether you’re sober, sober-curious, or just looking to understand the human side of addiction and healing, these stories offer insight, hope, and a reminder that no one is alone in this. Guests include advocates, Recovery Friendly Workplace experts, HR professionals, healthcare providers, musicians, family members, and friends—each bringing their unique perspective. We also explore how businesses can create Recovery Friendly Workplaces (RFW), breaking stigma and building real support for employees and their families. Since most people spend two-thirds of their waking lives at work, we talk about the critical role workplaces play in recovery, well-being, and changing the conversation around substance use.

Megan Tweedy - Three Years After Her Brother Jeff Meyer's Fentanyl Overdose
Caught up with my friend Megan Tweedy for our second podcast conversation on the fentanyl epidemic. Megan's brother, Jeff Meyer, died from a fentanyl overdose on Feb 24, 2020. Three years later, she is working to educate people about a huge problem in our society that she and her family were impacted by with Jeff's passing. Here's a link to our first episode: Megan Tweedy on Losing Her Brother, Jeff Meyer, to Overdose & the Fentanyl Crisis
She has arranged a panel discussion in Yakima, WA on March 23rd, 2023 (6pm Pacific) with a variety of stakeholders on this issue. This conversation is sure to provide a better understanding of various aspects of this societal problem from multiple angles. The good news is that is open to the public via the internet as well.
Info and to register to attend in person or virtually: Fentanyl Epidemic Town Hall
Megan wrote a beautiful letter to Jeff on the anniversary of his death that she was willing to share here too: Year Three. February 24, 2023
